Biography

sHORT BIO
I am Ong Lin Wei, an award-winning Singaporean composer, violinist, and mentor whose musical journey began at an early age. With a foundation in classical performance and a passion for storytelling through music, I’ve written works spanning orchestral, choral, chamber, and ethnic genres—performed at venues such as Victoria Concert Hall. As a performer, I play first violin with the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra, erhu with Artusik, and have collaborated with ensembles including the Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra, Orkestra Melayu Singapura, and the Brisbane Chamber Choir. My work includes music for the Singapore Symphony Orchestra’s composition workshops, scoring for visual media projects such as UOB’s Better U Campus, and earning First Prize at the Classical Stars competition. I am committed to exploring new creative frontiers and building global artistic connections.
